Please note the name brand of each of the supplies.  We have found, with experience, that these are the best products. They last longer and are less likely to stain clothing.

We will be sharing all of the supplies.  Please do not write names on each of them.  We will be using them at various times of the year and it is hard to store personal items.

Thank you,

We are excited to have a wonderful year with your child!

Social Studies Supplies List
Mr. Hughes

Part of your educational success depends on how prepared you are for the course.  There is no reason why you can’t make yourself successful.  All of the items below can be purchased at your local supply stores (e.g. Dollar Store, Wal-Mart, ShopKo, Office Depot, etc…) for relatively cheap prices.

Items:

  • 1 Ruler
  • 1 Pair of scissors
  • 1 set of Color Pencils (Should be a set of 12-16 colored pencils)
  • 4 Glue Sticks (1 for each semester)
  • 3 Packages of Lined Loose Leaf Paper (College ruled)
  • 1 Three Ring Binder (1 – 1 ½ inch)
  • 1 Folder w/ pockets (To keep handouts and papers etc…)
  • 1 Package of Pens (Colors should be Blue or Black Only)
  • 1 Package of Pencils
  • 1 Computer Storage Device (USB Drive, Flash Drive, Floppy Disk, etc…)
  • 1 Large Pink Eraser
  • 2 Highlighter

Suggested: A good computer storage device is vital to your success and the easiest device that you can use with great success is the Flash, USB, or Thumb Drive.  These devices use your USB slots on the computer to store information.  They can cost a mild amount of money, but well worth the price with the use that you’ll get out of them.  A 128 - 256 MB is probably the best size.

*Please, NO Spiral Notebooks.  They make a mess when pages are torn out of the notebooks and they become easily lost resulting in lost work and paper, which impedes you from being successful.
