Idaho Arts Charter School offers three choirs for students in grades 7-12. All choirs are focused on achieving high performance standards of excellence. Each student enrolled in choir will receive instruction in vocal function and health, vocal performance, music literacy and basic music history as it pertains to our focused investigations and/or choice of music. Students who choose music as their focus will also have the opportunity to study advanced music theory and history.
Bella Voce (pronounced vochay): Idaho Arts Charter School's advanced audition choir is open to students in grades 9-12. This group learns a variety of musical styles and sings both a capella and accompanied music from a variety of historical time periods and genres. Students who are selected to participate will have the opportunity to perform at school functions, community and civic events, and local festivals. This choir is by audition only and requires a uniform. Fees vary by semester. One year commitment is expected.
Exultate (pronounced exultatay): Idaho Arts Charter School's intermediate audition choir is open to students in grade 7-9. This group is dedicated to excellence in performance for the developing voices of young singers. Students who are selected to participate will perform at school functions, community and civic events, and local festivals. There is a special emphasis on music literacy and advancing vocal production in this group as students learn to find their changing voice. This choir is by audition only
Jubilate (pronounced yubilahtay): Idaho Arts Charter School's beginning choir is open to all students in grades 7-12. This choir is focused on learning the basics of vocal production and music literacy. Students with no previous experience are welcome to join. All students who participate will perform at school functions and local festivals. Minimal uniform requirements apply.
