Idaho Arts Charter School
Cyndi Wade - Kindergarten Grade Teacher
Hello, “I’m Cyndi Wade,” a native Idahoan raised in the mist of the mint fields of Nampa, Idaho. A kid at heart, who loves to play, sing, dance, and collect PEZ. Perhaps, that is why I have taught kindergarten for nine years. I consider teaching the best job in the world, where else is everyday a new adventure?
I received my Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Idaho in 1997 and my Masters of Education, with an emphasis in the Arts in 2002 from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. I’ve taught grades Kindergarten through sixth with a passion for reading, and a strong dedication to whole-child development through the arts. During my years of teaching, I have applied for numerous grants, designed many Nampa District educational resources, and have been a contracted reading consultant for SRA/McGraw Hill.
My art background consists of dancing for fifteen years, by participating in ballet and dance teams. I also have applied myself as an independent artist entering and winning many art contests in high school and in the Boise, Idaho area. As child I was forced to play the piano for five years and the saxophone for two years. Lastly, my most developed talent, singing in the car.
When I’m not at school, I’m a wife and mother of two wonderful children Eryn Wade, 7 years and Brandon Robert Wade, 5 years. You could say I live a full and wonderful life. Doing the two most fulfilling jobs in the world…being a mother and a teacher.
Life’s motto: If I can reach 50 students for twenty-five years that will be 1250 lives I can influence and help grow. Those 1250 children will then go on to be teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc. Just think what they will do to change the world.
