Hi, my name is Jodi Warthen and I am the new dance and health teacher for the Idaho Arts Charter School. I live in Emmett with my husband Scott, my dog Kango, my cat Tiki, and my nine horses which I won’t take the time to name!
Last year I taught girls conditioning, health, and dance at Payette High School where I was also the head dance coach, volleyball coach, and the tennis coach. I am excited to be here at the Idaho Arts Charter School where I will be able to focus my efforts more on dance. I love to dance and have performed in many different levels. I was the captain of my high school dance team, performed in the American Folk Ensemble at BYU-Idaho, was a dance major at Boise State University and performed in many productions including the musical “Cinderella”. I also love to perform with my horses; I am a member of the Americana black horse team where I ride “Roman Style” on the back of two horses and promote patriotism western style and have performed all over the United States, from Washington D.C. to California, as well as in Japan, Australia, and Canada.
I love the outdoors and enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, swimming, running, playing tennis, competing in triathlons, and living life to it’s fullest! |
