Jen Lund

Hello and welcome to the Idaho Arts Charter School. My name is Jenni Lund and I teach 5th and 6th grade. The last two years of teaching at IACS has been exciting and rewarding and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the families, staff and community here in Nampa.   In 1996 I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Teaching and received my Master's of Science in Educational Technology in May 2005. Both of my degrees come from Boise State University, where I have also served as an adjunct instructor in the Educational Technology department.   Before coming to IACS, I taught in the Meridian School District for seven years. During my employment in Meridian, I taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and Title I. I have been fortunate enough to attend many workshops and classes through the district and have even piloted programs and presented findings in Portland, Oregon for the NWEA as well throughout the valley in other districts. Before that, I taught in the Boise School District summer art activities program, and an intervention program for grades 1-6. I also taught preschool at the BSU Children's Center for four years.

My family is very important to me and I spend my free time with them doing things outdoors. I have been married for 13 years and my children are ages 6 and 7. During the summer we enjoy going fishing and camping. Since we moved to Nampa in 2003, we have loved learning about the town and what it has to offer. 

I look forward to working with your children this year.  I have seen so many great things at IACS.  I am lucky to work so closely with Mrs. Arnold and Mrs. Brown as we provide your children with a great blend of arts and academic in an arts-infused curriculum.  Here’s to a great year!
