Scott Hendrix

I'm Scott Hendrix. I teach middle school drama, 8th grade English, high school speech and stagecraft.  We've done some very cool things over the last 11 years in my class rooms like meet Oscar winning actors, a major motion picture director,  attend events for the Vice-President and President of the United States. My students met Olympic gold medalists, a Super Bowl MVP and scores of other professional athletes, met award winning musicians backstage, and we’ve had student work appear on local and regional television, local and regional newspapers, and compete in various local and state competitions. I’ve coached multiple championship teams in multiple sports, and we’ve learned some stuff about being human beings on the planet Earth.

During my “real life” time I love hanging out with my “three amigos” Zachary, Nicholas and Sammy.

Books:  The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Jester, A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi, and The House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne, and the New Testament (especially Phillipians 4:8-13.).

Movies: Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Star Wars (A New Hope), Three Amigos, Muppets from Space

Teams: College: BSU (I was on the Spirit Squad waay back in 85-89, yep, a cheerleader)

Football: San Francisco 49ers

Basketball: Sacramento Kings

Baseball: San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs

TV: Star Trek (the original series), Lost, The Colbert Report
