Hi my name is Cathy Goff and I am the new Special Education Consultant for Middle School and High School as well as the 7th grade Math teacher.  I will also be co-teaching a High School Math class with Ms. Eckstrom.

I am very excited to be at Idaho Arts Charter School, especially since this is my second year of teaching.  I graduated in May 2006 from Boise State University with a degree in Elementary Education (K-8th) and a full endorsement in Special Education (K-12th).

Years ago, I worked for Melba School District as the Elementary Music Teacher (K-5th) for 1 ½ years, and in the Nampa School District  as a paraprofessional in the 3-5 year old developmentally delayed program for 3 years as well as substituting for 2 years while going to college.  I have also been involved in my church choir and Christmas production for the past 5 years as well as being theYouth Director for middle school and high school students, which I did for 2 years.  I have always loved music, art and dance, which is why working for IACS is a great match for me.

Here are a few things about me:  In middle school and high school, I played the same clarinet that my father had 20 years before me.  I love horses and I grew up on a 1,000 acre ranch until I was about 16 years old.  I have always been a native of Idaho and my grandparents moved here from Iowa in 1936.  I have three daughters, Amie, who is 19 years old, Samantha, who is 17 years old, and Carrie, who is 15 years old.  I enjoy spending time outdoors camping with my family and reading books when I have time.
