I’m excited for a third year at IACS as a 5th /6th grade teacher! Previously, before teaching at IACS, I was the Gifted/Talented Facilitator for five school districts, teaching students in K-6 grades. I have also taught 6th grade in Caldwell and preschool in Nampa. I received my endorsement in Gifted/Talented Education in 2004. As a G/T Facilitator my students had numerous opportunities to enrich their education with art, drama, music and science. It's a privilege to be able to implement these experiences into the classroom at IACS.
I grew up in La Grande, Oregon, where I was involved in music/drama at both church and school. I performed in four musicals in high school and participated in acapella and swing choir throughout my four years of high school. I moved to Nampa after graduating from La Grande High School in 1990 to attend Northwest Nazarene College. I received my B.A in Elementary Education from NNC in 1994. I met my husband the first day of college. We have been married for 14 years. We are blessed with three wonderful children: Annika (6), Riley (4), and Camden (2). |
