Idaho Arts Charter School
Karen Ruminski - Special Education

Hello, my name is Karen Ruminski and I am very happy to teach half-time Special Education at the Idaho Arts Charter School this coming semester. I have been teaching English, French, and German in Emmett High School for three years. Before that, I instructed Basic Writing at BSU for three years. I gained an M.A. in English/American Studies in the Netherlands and I'm endorsed in French, German, and English as well. Currently, I am in the process of finishing my Special Ed certification.

My husband of six years is Polish, my step kids are American, and I am Dutch. We own two great dogs and two cats. At home we speak a mixture of English and gibberish. We all love boating, hiking, biking, playing tennis, and skiing. My favorite pastime though is reading in a coffee shop (preferably Rembrandts in Eagle) and playing league tennis with my great team. I also travel to Europe and the Caribbean at least twice a year.

I am looking forward to teach and meet all the staff members and students at IACS!
