Jenni Lund - 5th/6th Grade Teacher
Hello and welcome to the Idaho Arts Charter School. My name is Jenni Lund and I teach 5th and 6th grade. The last five years of teaching at IACS has been exciting and rewarding and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the families, staff and community here in Nampa. In 1996 I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Teaching and received my Master's of Science in Educational Technology in May 2005. Both of my degrees come from Boise State University and I am a proud Bronco alumn.
Before coming to IACS, I taught in the Meridian School District for seven years. During my employment in Meridian, I taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and Title I. Before that time, I was a substitute teacher and summer school teacher in the Boise School district and a preschool teacher at BSU. I am currently an adjunct professor at College of Western Idaho and I also facilitate online courses for teachers through Idaho Online Professional Development.
My family is very important to me and I spend my free time with them. I have been married for 17 years and my children are ages 9 and 10. We are involved in Little League Baseball, GALS softball, Nampa Youth Basketball and Nampa Optimist football and cheerleading where I serve as a cheer coach. During the summer we enjoy going to the coast and Puget Sound.
I look forward to working with your children this year. I have seen so many great things at IACS. I am lucky to work so closely with Mrs. Arnold and Mrs. Brown as we provide your children with a great blend of arts and academic in an arts-infused curriculum. We have been working together in the 5th & 6th grade since the school was opened in 2005 and we have built a great camaraderie and community within the grade level. Here's to a great year!
