Colene Davenport - MS/HS English Teacher

Hi, my name is Colene Davenport and I am going into my 30th year of teaching. Wow, how time flies! I will be teaching 9th English and one 10th English class. I love Idaho Arts Charter School and I believe we have the most amazing staff ever. Just a little bit about my educational career as it seems to be never ending. I received my B.A. from NNU and through the years, I continued there to earn my elementary and Masters.

I feel it is important for students to know how much I value learning and the importance of always acquiring new knowledge so I impress upon them the need for education.

I love to read and do way too much of it when I should be doing other things. My husband and I love to travel and have done so extensively. My husband, Lee, works for the City of Nampa, our daughter, Megan, works at Pioneer Canyon Title and her husband, Chris, owns King's Pro Tire, our son, Christopher, is a Nampa Police officer, and our daughter-in-law, Maricela, is an Underwriter for a major insurance company in Eagle. We have seven grandchildren that range in ages two years to twenty years. Since I love teaching, I want to do some classes for as long as I can.
