Idaho Arts Charter School
Kelli Brown - Dance Teacher

Kelli BrownI have been an educator for the past 14 years, but this will be my second year at Idaho Arts Charter School as one of the dance instructors for the dance program. What an exciting opportunity for me. Dance is my life passion!!!

Dance has taken me to places I never would have dreamed. In addition to teaching for the
United Spirit Association (USA) for 14 years in over 10 states, I have had the chance to
choreograph in Paris, France for USA and for the ABC televised "Very Merry Christmas
Parade" in 2000. I am currently an adjunct professor, teaching dance at both Albertson
College of Idaho and Boise State University. I have choreographed a number of musicals
including "Fiddler on the Roof", "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Guys and Dolls" for groups including the Boise Music Festival and Knock  'Em Dead Productions. I have taught for many local dance studios and owned my own for four years.

Personally, I have performed with groups including Drop Dance Collective, Idaho Dance
Theatre, Boise State Mane Line Dancers, Idaho Stampede Dancers and the NBA Seattle Super Sonic Dancers. I have my Master of Arts in Dance from California State University, Long Beach and am currently in the process of obtaining my Master of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. As you can see, I love to dance~!

When I am not dancing, I enjoy spending time with my husband of seventeen years and our three Labradors.
