1st/2nd Grade Teacher
Hello! My name is Andrea Alexander. I will be teaching a 1/2 combo class this year. This is my second year teaching at Idaho Arts Charter School and I am looking forward to being a part of the first and second grade team again. I love art and it gives me great joy to be able to integrate it into the curriculum.
I grew up in Nampa, Idaho. My parents have been a huge source of love and support in my life and always encouraged my creative endeavors. I have only one sister and she teaches first grade in the Boise school district. Also, I just celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary with my Husband, Joel Alexander.
I attended college at Boise Sate University, where I earned a Psychology degree. I completed my education to become a teacher at Northwest Nazarene University. From there, I continued on to complete my Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction at NNU.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending most of my free time with my family, friends and my pet dog, Bella. I love animals and volunteer at the Idaho humane society when I get a chance. Also, I love music, drawing, photography, traveling, riding my bike, taking Bella for walks, and spending time outside. I look forward to this coming school year and having your child in my class!
